This is a sewing pattern for a victorian dress, containing pattern for the skirt and for the bodice.

During the time of the early bustle era from 1869-1876 beside strong colors also striped fabrics were popular. Especially summer dresses were made from sheer fabrics like silk organza but also lightweight and printed cotton fabrics for more sporty activities e.g. the “Seaside Costume”.
Striped fabric was often cut on the bias for ruches and decorations to create lovely patterns.

Fitted to be worn over a corset.
