This is a DIGITAL sewing pattern for a late Victorian Corset about 1880 (half bust) and a matching chemise, wearable for presentations until 1900

This sewing pattern shows an 1880´s corset with five panels, adapted from an extant pattern. The corset should be made from Coutil and lined with a midweight cotton fabric. All seams are boned, as well as along both sides of the lacing. Additional boning can be added as desired, using boning channels made from Coutil strips.
At the front a spoon busk or a wide straight busk is provided, but can be replaced by a narrow one.

Also suitable for steampunk costumes.

Great Instructions, Way Too Small

The pattern pieces match well together and the instructions are very detailed. The corset was pretty easy to assemble right up until I was able to try it on and found that it was about 4 inches too small. The lacing gap spanned basically my entire back and even then I couldn't fully close the busk. I was using the imperial measurements so I'm not sure if something went wrong when they were converting from metric to imperial or if the grading itself was just way off. Definitely check the measurements of the panels if you can before sewing it together, although that can be difficult since the seam allowances aren't marked. I'm going to salvage my corset by seamripping between the 3rd and 4th panels and adding in a 2" coutil strip to give myself more room. Luckily I hadn't bound the edges yet.

Good pattern although time consuming. The pattern was very easy to Download. Not yet made anything other than a small sized toile. I may edit this review when I have finished the final wearable item.
