#0420 Late Victorian Day Bodice or Blouse around 1890 Sewing Pattern Size US 8-30 (EU 34-56) PDF Download
This is a DIGITAL sewing pattern for r a late Victorian blouse or day bodice, worn between 1890 and 1900.
This sewing pattern shows a blouse or bodice, modeled after extant examples and fashion plates from around 1890 with large puff sleeves.
The blouse is mounted on a firm and tight fitting lining with boned seams as usual at that time. The lining is cut curved at the center front to get some extra width at the bust level and is closed edge to edge with hooks and eyes, covered by a plastron. The plastron is sewn on at the right side, with the edge covered by the fashion fabric of the front. The other side is closed layered underneath the fashion fabric with hooks or snap fasteners (invented around 1885).
A waistband at the inside prevents the blouse from sliding up. The blouse has a little peplum at the back and is intended to be worn in the skirt, actually with a matching belt - included in the pattern.
