#0419 Redingote or Georgian dress about 1780 incl. split-bum, pockets and fichu Sewing Pattern Size US 8-30 (EU 34-56) Printed Pattern
This is a sewing pattern for a Georgian dress worn about 1780. Sewing patterns for split bum, pockets and fichu are included.
The Redingote developed from the men´s Great Coat (a long woolen Coat with a cape, worn as outmost layer) and became popular about 1780.
A Redingote is worn over a visible petticoat. This petticoat can be embroidered, decorated with ruffles or can be left plain.
The product pictures show a steampunk interpretation of the dress, but as well a mostly historicaly accurate dress can be sewn with that pattern.
A seam allowance of 5/8" (1,5cm) is included.
Fitted to be worn over stays or a corset.
Also suitable for cosplay costumes.
