This is a DIGITAL sewing pattern for an Edwaridan bicycle skirt, from around 1900.

This skirt is designed after a typical extant ankle-length bicycle skirt, from around 1900.
The skirt has a deep box pleat at the center back as well as two pleats on each side providing the width needed sitting on a bicycle. The skirt can be worn with or without a corset.
The waistband is divided into two parts; front, and back. The skirt is closed along the left side with buttons, the right side button tab has no other function than serving as a fashion detail mirroring the left side with a hidden pocket underneath.
The hem has a facing from fashion fabric.
Topstitching along the skirt seams, appliques and rows along the hemline, as well as edge stitching the waistband with a thicker thread in matching color creates another fashion detail.

Also suitable for steampunk costumes.

This is a DIGITAL pattern (PDF), you can download both size ranges and languages after payment has been confirmed.
The pattern comes with detailed and illustrated sewing instructions in English and German. It is a multi-size sewing pattern, you can choose between Sizes US 8-18 (EU 34-44) and Sizes US 20-30 (EU 46-56). A seam allowance of 5/8" (1,5cm) is included in my patterns.
The pattern is ready to be printed out on DIN A4 or US Letter. Format DIN A0 to be printed at a plotter / copy-shop comes with a second email at no additional costs.

Lovely skirt with nice details

I made this skirt in a nice sturdy cotton twill for a recent event and got many compliments on the look. The style lines and details are a nice touch.
The pattern went together nicely with every seam lining up without issue. However, the sewing instructions were a bit crytpice when it came to sewing up the side seam around the pocket opening. The picture is not really helpful. I figured the setup out in the end and it made sense and the result is nice and neat. The instructions also include a mention of interfacing but at no point is there any mention which pieces should be interfaced and where.
The pocket piece is generously sized and holds a modern phone without issue. However, I might redo the pocket pice and anchor it to the waistband as a heavy phone distorts the style lines a bit.

Difficult

It is difficult for me to understand the instructions on how to sew the side piece #2 with the back piece #3. The drawing does not make it very clear. It is true that language is a problem.
